Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) is a water treatment process that clarifies by the removal of suspended matter such as oil or solids. The removal is achieved by dissolving air in the water or wastewater under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank basin. The released air forms tiny bubbles which adhere to the suspended matter causing the suspended matter to float to the surface of the water where it may then be removed by a skimming device.

Dissolved air flotation is very widely used in treating the industrial wastewater effluent from brewery, cheese, chicken and beef and other food processing, oil refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants, natural gas processing plants, paper mills, and similar industrial facilities.

Nikuni KTM Microbubble generator pumps offer the DAF industry a product that when air is introduced to water at the inlet of the pump, it produces more and smaller bubbles than any other mixing technology available, increasing the efficiency of the DAF process. Gardner Denver releases the newest addition to their rotary lobe blower line. The Cycloblower HE (Hi-Efficient) units utilize a new 5:3 ratio rotor screw design, resulting in substantial energy savings over all existing lobe blower models by Gardner Denver or our competitors. Cycloblower HE units cover applications up to 6200 CFM, and the new design can support discharge pressures as high as 36 psi and vacuum levels to 22 inches mercury. The technology used to produce metering pumps has barely changed in over a generation. As a result, conventional metering pumps have operational limitations and a high cost of install and operation. Hydra-Cell is not a conventional metering pump. Hydra-Cell Metering Solutions pumps meet and, in most cases, exceed API 675 performance standards with virtually pulse-less, linear flow and many other operational benefits, with lower installed cost and operating cost.

Taking advantage of the most current technologies, Hydra-Cell P Series metering pumps achieve superior levels of accuracy, repeatability and linearity, while delivering precise, constant flow. This revolution in metering employs the latest available means of electronic flow control to replace antiquated, inaccurate stroke adjusters. P Series pumps cover flow rates from 0.5 GPH to 900 GPH, at injection pressures up to 2500 psi. Single and multiplex head options are available. Compact APN series electric driven diaphragm pumps are designed to handle both air and liquid applications.  Brushed or Brushless DC motors simplify system integration. The APN’s unique diaphragm and valve design addresses the challenge of combining both wet and dry capabilities in one pump. Positive seating valves, and flush groove provide consistent priming and solids handling capabilities in fluid applications.  These critical features along with the reinforced diaphragm and mechanical reinforcements make the compact, lightweight and versatile APN series the best choice in critical applications. FLUX VISCOFLUX drum unloading systems are specifically designed for emptying containers of high viscosity products such as tomato paste, Vaseline, greases and more. The media is gently pumped with FLUX F 500 series eccentric worm-drive pumps. All systems have the ability to achieve residual amounts of less than 1% (under 2% for drums with liners). These systems are available for use in food, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. For more information and specifications follow this link.
